Default Team and Grouping Improvements!

Being relatively new to the MMORPG scene, I have a lot to learn still. I do however see a weakness in guildwars.

I really think it would be of great benefit if a player could hold a tag above their head to show what type of group they are looking for and what quest they wish to do. Think limo driver in airport holding up a sign for the passenger. I have found that the most difficult thing to do is to hook up into a group because you either need to physically find the person or type in their name. If anyone else has had this problem, please tell me...or am I missing something? Or if you don't want to add tags, being afraid of a zillion people having them up on screen, I have a few other options. The first is make it possible to invite people right off the chat screen. For example...someone says, "I want to do that quest too!" - Invite ...and you could actively click on the invite to invite them to group. Another option is to actively search for the player's name as you type it in. For example, if you want to whisper to Aryow and you type in A it would try to fill in the name of the person typing it. One final possibility and this would require a little coding, is to have a button that lists all peeps in a city-district. You could easily add people by double-clicking.

Also, I find it disheartening when I am casting and blastin' a monster away and then all of a sudden stand there and not attack him with my weapon after I have attacked with spells. Is there some auto-attack that I am missing without having to click on a monster? If so please tell, it would help me out a bit. Being able to click on monsters on the minimap would also be helpful. Thanks!

Yes a list of people to invite would be great to have. So anyone looking for a group, you scroll through the player list and select invite to party for them. That would be so much easier

And for auto-attacking, you can hit Tab (to select next enemt) and hit the SPACE bar to attack. You cannot attack enemies on the minimap cuz thats how you ping the map to let others know.

C for closest enemy, TAB just cycles and will occasionally select a monster that isnt in combat, which you might encourage to fight by mistake.

There are several threads on the problems with getting groups formed. In the interest of getting them more tightly gathered, I am suggesting people check out the following thread. It received a number of responses (I did not start it). I will soon post signs to this thread and others there.
